Backtechnik iba award: apply now!

At this year's iba in Munich, the fifth Backtechnik iba Award will be rewarded. The Backtechnik iba Award is an accredited prize bestowed upon technical solution, outstanding innovations and excellence in the industrial and line-oriented production of baked goods. As host of the awards, we have asked a distinguished panel of experts to determine the winner of this years’ coveted prize. Our 2018-jury members consist of: Professor Michael Kleinert (Zürich College for Applied Sciences in Wädenswil, Switzerland), Professor Dr. Thomas Becker (Technical University of Munich, the Weihenstephan Scientific Center), Norbert Lötz (Managing Director of Production at Harry Brot), Stefan Schütter (Specialist Editor for Backtechnik Europe) and Dirk Waclawek (Editor-in-chief for Backtechnik Europe). The winners will be announced during iba at the Zentralverband des Deutschen Bäckerhandwerks (Central Association of German Bakers).

More details on rules of participation:

• Participating companies must be exhibitors at iba 2018.
• The entry should not only be innovative, but also something that has yet to be exhibited at any other trade fair.
• The entry must be on show at iba 2018 so that our jury can inspect it more closely during the first few days of the trade fair in Munich.
• As the jury will determine the nominated entrants in advance of the trade fair, the closing date for applications is 10th August 2018.
• Applications can be submitted for the following categories: processing, conveyor technology, robotics, ovens, cooling solutions, hygiene and IT.
